Odd jobs 2

More odd jobs today. For some time I have noticed a slight problem with our fridge. Sometimes it keeps cutting in and out fairly quickly, i.e. every 10 seconds or so. I narrowed this down to low voltage. There can be 2-3 volts drop at the fridge compared to the battery voltage. So I decided to fit a much thicker wire from the distribution panel at the back to the fridge. This entailed removing various bits of panelling to feed the new cable through, and also me climbing inside of the galley cupboards. Not an easy job at my advanced age, actually getting in wasn’t too bad, it was getting out again that was tricky!

After a few other jobs, topping up the jerry cans with diesel, and some general tidying we were ready. So the rest of the afternoon was spent enjoying the lovely sunshine.
