Odd Jobs

The quickest trip up the M5/6 so far, only two and a half hours. We are here to do a few odd jobs on board before friends Jan & Mike joins us on Thursday. The weather forecast was for sun, but it’s raining. One of the jobs is outside so that will have to wait until tomorrow.

So today’s job is fitting a gauge to our toilet holding tanks so that we know when we’re due for a pumpout. The new tank is bigger than the old one, so we aren’t sure how long to leave it. There aren’t pumpout services here at the marina, so we cant wait until it’s full.

I drilled and tapped a 3/4BSP hole in the top of the tank for the sensor and wired it all up to the gauge which showed half full. That looks about right as I can see the level through the side of the tank.
