We arrived yesterday afternoon after a beautiful  drive up across the Cotswold in glorious autumn sunshine. We had arranged for Clive Mant to service the engine today. He arrived at 9:30 and didnt leave ’til 1:40 and did a really thorough job. It was too late to set off after he had finished as it

Back to the Marina

A bit of a lie in this morning – away by 8:30. The forecast was for a warm day 26C plus! We followed a large group on an Oxfordshire Narrowbaots hire boat. They were all holding the boat on ropes going down the locks. It took us until 11:30 to get back into our mooring.

Unfortunately the weather hasn’t been too good, so the bring and share lunch and the Morris Dancing  on Saturday had to be  indoors. Blue Lias

we have arrived at the Blue Lias pub Long Itchington where we will spend the next few days at the Cutweb rally. We were off and away by 7:30, it was very peaceful going until we joined a queue of boats at Marston Doles. Progress was slow due to one boat being bow hauled backwards

In order to catch the 7:30 ferry from Portsmouth we were up soon after 3:00 and away by 3:45. The journey was made more complicated by overnight roadworks on the M4 which had we known about we would have taken a different route. We arrived in France at 11:30 CET and set off for St-Martin
