Just one night away at Uplands CL near Winscombe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I put the electric bikes on the back of Bertie and we set off with the aim to ride the “Strawberry Line”. This runs from Yatton to Cheddar along a disused railway line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s only about 10 miles long so we had thought that we could do half from Winscombe to Yatton in the morning, then the other half to Cheddar in thr afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So we started off from Winscombe recreation ground car park and headed for Yatton. The end of the trail is at Yatton main line station where we met Josh and Ivy. After a break for tea in the cafe we cycled back to Winscombe. At this point it was decided that our bums and legs needed a rest, so I rang a local CL and arranged to stay there the night and we would do the rest of the trail in the morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Uplands CL is part of a small holiday complex where there are cottages to hire. In the evening we walked just over a mile to Sandford and met Josh and Ivy again in the Thatchers Cider pub for supper. Josh drove us back to Bertie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
