To save having to get up at 4:00 am we drove up to Banbury on Wednesday afternoon, spending the night in the layby next to the cemetery!
We had heard that you can overnight in the cemetery car park, but we stayed in the layby, though we did walk around the cemetery twice. It was surprising busy with visitors in the early evening.
Then it was three days in camping field 7b at the festival.
Highlights for us were : Young’uns, Nile Rodgers, Strawbs, Fishermen’s Friends, Richard Digence and of course Fairport themselves.
