For the last week and a bit we have been on a different cruise. We have been up the river Rhine from Amsterdam to Basel.
We cane back last night to find that we have zero battery power! Something must have gone wrong in our absence.
I ran the engine for a while so that we could have some lights, run the water pump and the loo, then went to bed to sort it out in the morning.
Awoke this morning to find the batteries completely flat again only about 8 volts, so we needed to do something. After mulling over the options, I took all the batteries out. We then went home. I put the old batteries on charge and took a leisure battery out of Bertie (our campervan) ans brought it back to the boat together with another (car) battery I had. So now we do have some limited power.
Heddi went back to Falfield to pick up Izzie, who is staying with us tonight.
