Back in the marina

After a leisurely breakfast we winded and set off back along the W&B to just before Astwood locks. From here there is a path across the fields to Hanbury Hall, where we had lunch. Then up two locks, turn around, back down two locks and back to the marina. Back home tomorrow as Tom has

We picked up Sue and Tom and arrived at the marina by 11:45. After lunch we topped up the water and diesel then set off up the three locks to Hanbury junction. We had booked a table for our evening meal at The Bridge. As we approached the mooring it poured, thundered and lightninged !

Back ‘home’

Drove up to arrive at the marina just after 10 o’clock. As we were unloading Simon brought The Bath Tub down to tie up temporarily nearby. Then, after topping up the water we set off. A short stop in Droitwich for shopping followed by a pleasant run down to the Severn and on to moor

There were lots of hire boat about yesterday afternoon, so we though it would be a good idea to set off early to avoid queues. Our idea of early is earlier than Josh and Georgia’s idea of early. So it was about 8:30 when we set off. It’s six miles and eight locks from last
