Our plans have had to change because Rob cancelled our Avon trip at the last minute. So we decided not to waste the available time and go for a short trip up the S&W.

It’s been a long day today. We left home at 8:15, after topping up the water etc we left the marina at 9:30ish

All the wide locks on the barge canal were against us and had to be filled. The plan was to moor on the river pontoons at Stourport, but there was no space. So we made our way up through the staircase locks and Mart Lane lock and found a space on the visitor’s moorings.

It’s been a tiring 8 and half hour journey, but we opened a bottle of Small & Small Sylvia and had a Cottage Pie to celebrate our 51st Wedding Anniversery.
