Again an early start, but we encountered boats at almost every lock. The queue at the upper Swindon lock caused a few problems as there is nowhere there for oncoming boats to wait. An even longer queue at the Botterham staircase meant it took over an hour to get through. But strangely by the time we got to Bratch we were on our own and went straight through.

It was then up to wind at the bottom of Dimingsdale lock and drop back down Ebstree where we spent the night.
