Kinver

As the forecast was for another hot day, we set off early. As we came up the second of the two staircase locks at Stourport basin we were met by a sea of green.

Completely covered in duckweed!

It was quite busy with boats even early on, maybe others had the same idea to beat the heat in the middle of the day. Kinver was reached in time for a late lunch. There was a suitable mooring in the shade of the trees, so we decided to stay there and have an afternoon chilling out reading books. After supper, when it was cooler, we did the walk down to Wittington Horse bridge and back though the woods.
