Yesterday Steve & Lori came round in the morning for a cuppa and to natter about old people’s health issues! Heddi went to her choir rehearsals in the afternoon. I turned the boat around in order to work on the ongoing problem of the water ingress around the side hatch.

The Smart needed charging this morning afer all the running around. We had intended to go down to the WWT where we knew there were charging points. But in the middle on the night I suddenly realised that we didn’t have the charging cable!

A quick check on the “Pod Point” app identifed a charger with lead at a house in Cambridge less than 2 miles away. So off we went. It took a while to find, but we did and then sat in the car for 30mins whilst it charged enough to get us home. Then off home to top up to 100%.

On the way back we called in to Nik’s to pick up her car as I need to get Izzie and Roxie from school later as N&P are in Malaga!

At 15:30 I set off for KLB. Izzie drove back, and did exceptionally well in the circumstances. We encountered a huge thunderstorm with torrential rain and large hailstones as we were coming through Cam, but Izzie coped admirably.

Later we took the girls home and retrieved the Smart.
