Worcester

We have made various visits to the bpat over the winter months, but havent actually been anywhere until now.

We had arranged to meet Teresa and Brian in Frampton where they left their car and got ito ours. Then the foru of us drove up to Droitwich, unloaded all the gear and set off. The original plan was to go down through Droitwich town and out on to the Severn at Hawford junction. Unfortunately Bevere lock on the Severn has been out of action for some time, so we needed to take the W&B route to Worcester. Also Diglis lock on the Severn had been closed for a couple of days, but is open again now.

The trip down to Worcester was made in bright sunshine, but it was a bit cool in the shade. Very little boat traffic today. We wanted to moor for the night on the river by the racecourse, I had thought that we needed to arrive as early as possible to get a good space, but we were all on our own, no other boats at all!

Off into town to find somewhere to eat, after a good search we ended up in the Talbot where we have eaten with T&B before.
