1.5 miĺes 21locks

We waited at the top until just after 9:00 for grandson Leo to walk up from the campsite. He crewed for us all the way down. Other members of the Davies family joined us at various times over the next two hours.
We shared all but the first two locks with an ABC hireboat crew. We were an efficient team and made good progress, arriving at the bottom just before 12:00.
We subsequently learned that the canal at the top of the locks was çlosed as the bomb squad was called to deal with an unexploded hand grenade found by the workmen repairing the towpath!
The afternoon was spent in the campsite with the Davies family.
