8 Miles and 4 locks

Very windy again! As usual we started of just before eight o’clock. After Bradford lock Heddi topped up the water whilst I popped to Sainsburys for some shopping.

The rest of the day has been fairly uneventful. The morning weather was overcast, but later the sun came out strongly again. We are meeting our youngest daughter and family tomorrow at Foxhangers, so we didnt need to make much progress today. This meant an early stop just above the first Seend lock, then a very pleasant 4 mile walk thought the Wiltshire countryside.

It’s been very busy with hire boats since we stopped. With ABC at Hilperton and Foxhangers in the opposite direction I think that are all heading back to hand the boat in tomorrow morning.
