Fenny Compton

We have left Cropredy for the last time and are on our way up to Oakwood marina in Cheshire. This will be our mooring for the next couple of years.
The day started off with Mark Paris coming to do our BSC test. All was ok except tne back plate on tne stove wasn’t fitting properly. He said if I get it fixed and send him the photos then he’ll issue tne certificate.
Next was a quite dash to Halfords to get a new starter battery. Tne old one was 9 years old. I think we’ve had our money’s worth.
The 8 locks up to the summit were fairly busy. We met a boat at most of them, but it was a lovely afternoon warm for late October.
The visitors moorings at Fenny was our stop for the night. Unusually tnere was plenty of space.
