Lymm

We decided last night that we would stop at Lymm today, and had planned to arrive late morning. This, we hoped, would give us the best chance of finding two mooring spots.

So we set off just after seven. The weather was was a bit grey and drizzly at first, but then cheered up.

We found two adjacent spots on the offside. We were lucky as it very quickly filled up by lunch time.

I had remembered the bakery from previous visits, Simon was keen to sample their Chelsea buns, so a trip to the town was called for. Unbelievably the bakery didn’t know what a Chelsea bun was! so we had various other confectioneries instead.

After lunch we did the usual walk around the lake and then along the trans Pennine way and up past the “Splitting Mill”
