Droitwich Marina

There were lots of hire boat about yesterday afternoon, so we though it would be a good idea to set off early to avoid queues. Our idea of early is earlier than Josh and Georgia’s idea of early. So it was about 8:30 when we set off. It’s six miles and eight locks from last night’s mooring to the junction with the Droitwich. It took us about 4 hours. Georgia slept through most of it, including Josh’s first time steering into locks.

We were going to moor up by the junction, but there wasn’t room, so we turned down the Droitwich a little way and moored there. Lunch was followed by a walk across the fields to Hanbury Hall. A stroll around the gardens, a cup of tea and a walk back to the boat and we set off down the last three locks and into the marina.
