Stratford upon Avon

Off at 7:30 for the last leg of our outward journey. Only six locks to do today, the first three were in our favour. The next was against us and very deep. Simon dropped his rope as he climbed the ladder and I knocked the boat hook into tne water as I was walking on tne roof. Using his boat hook Simon managed to get the tip of ours so tnat I could reach it.

As we left the lock another boat pulled out in front t of us. But at the next lock they waited and told us to go ahead. In fact it was a wide lock and accommodated all three boats. It turned out that they also moor in Droitwich marina. We arrived in Stratford and found two adjacent moorings in time for a late lunch.

The park was very busy with picnicers and tourists. Later we decided to eat out and found an ‘all you can eat’ Chinese restaurant.
