Dunhampstead moorings

We came up yesterday afternoon and stayed in the marina overnight. I did a few jobs onboard this morning whilst waiting for Teresa and Brian. They came in time for lunch, and then we set off.

This is Brian’s first ‘proper’ trip, previously he’d only been on the G&S for a short chug.

We turned left out of the marina and up the three Hanbury locks. The original plan was to go the other way, through Droitwich and down to the Severn. Unfortunately the Severn is currently closed due to high levels and also the short section of the river Salwarpe in Droitwich. So we are going to Worcester down the Worcester & Birmingham.

The weather hasn’t been too good, fairly cold and raining on and off.

We stopped at about 4 o’clock at Dunhampstead.
