Near Netheridge Bridge

It had rained heavily during the night and was still raining on and off at breakfast. After consulting various weather forecasts we set off just after nine. It was dryish but cold with a strong wind blowing.

I had intended to top up the fuel from the jerry can last night, but forgot. As we approched Upton on Severn I could see a space on the floating pontoon. So we pulled in and I topped up the fuel whilst the others chatted to another boater.

The wind was getting stronger and it rained a bit on and off. The section between Upper Lode and the parting was particularly rough with quite big waves. Then it was through Gloucester lock and docks and on to moor up between the swing bridge and Sims bridge.
