Worcester

It’s the annual trip down to the G&S, this time we are doing it with Mo and Jim. They have never been on a boating trip with us before as they had their dog.

We met them in Frampton where they left their car and got into ours. About an hour up the M5 to the marina, unloaded, did a few jobs and then we were off.

The M5 tunnel was cleared with about an inch to spare. At the barge lock some main were doing maintenance to the swing bridge so it was straight through. Jim helped me with the other two swing bridges and we set off towards the Severn.

The first four locks were against us, so it was fairly tough introduction to locking for M&J. We met an upcoming boat at the lock by the cottage. As usual the old lady came out for a natter.

Worscester we reached at about 16:30. We moored up just passed Sabrina bridge and opened a bottle of bubbly!
