Fenny Compton

Our guests arrived yesterday and we had a pleasant evening on board eating, drinking and nattering.

The decision was made for another early start because of the forecast hot weather, and we we away by 6:20.

Progress was slow as far as Napton junction as we were following two hire boats, but we lost them there and carried on to the bottom of the locks. The flight was busy and we had to wait at every lock. We had booked a table at The Wharf at Fenny Compton. Again we wanted to find a mooring in the shade. About a third of a mile short of the pub we found somewhere and decided to stay there rather than risk there being no space on the visitors moorings.
