The weather forecast for the week speaks of much colder. So we thought that we would get going early in case we need to do short days later.
The water was topped up, then round the junction and onto tne Coventry canal.

Again the wind was cold and today the sun didn’t come out. It stayed cloudy all day.
We reached tne top of the Atherstone flight at 12:00. Having only seen 3 moving boats all morning one pulled out just in front of us at tne top of tne locks! So we had to follow them and turn every one, except two where we met upcoming boats.
At 1:40 we moored up, had lunch then walked back up the locks into the town to do a bit of shopping.
The fire’s now lit and it’s lovely and cosy!
