Netherwich Basin

We are back for a few days with grandson Josh and granddaughter-in-law Georgia. Arrived at the marina, unpacked, had a quick lunch then set off. It hasn’t been raining for quite a while so I thought that we would get under the M5 tunnel with ease, but actually the anchor did just touch the roof a couple of times as I very gingerly edged our way through.

Josh and Georgia have been on board before but haven’t done many locks previously, so the 33 locks this trip might be a bit of a shock. We were ahead of our expected schedule, so we moored up in Netherwich basin and walked back into the town for a wander around and a bit of food shopping in Waitrose.

A pleasant evening was spent onboard, eating, nattering and playing Rumikub.
